A one-of-a-kind, handwoven wall hanging, with Japanese inspired techniques and my signature natural dyes. All of the materials are natural and biodegradable.
Made from:
Sheep's wool, naturally dyed with red Madder root extract.
Undyed, natural linen.
Paper yarns, hand-painted black with a natural plant and iron dye.
Viscose.
Woven and designed by me, on a Harris table loom, with a three-dimensional waffle block pattern and copper colour accents.
Inspired by the walled city of Valletta in Malta and the repeating red windows on narrow streets.
This wall hanging is unframed and has a pine wooden dowel woven into the piece.
